If you (BE) in Scotland in September, you should pay a visit to the Edinburgh festival. It is huge celebration of culture, where you can see comedy shows, musical perfomances,plays and (MANY) more. The first Edinburgh festival (TAKE) place in 1974. It was seen as a way to reunite Europe through culture, after World War 2. After nearly sixty years, the festival is still going strong and growing (BIG) every year. The festival is a place where a new talent (DISCOVER) as anyone can apply to perform there. Last years there (BE) so much to watch all of (THEY) back to back!
Guy Fawkes Day, or Bonfire Night, is a special day in Britain. The (CELEBRATE) is held on November the 5th. On that eveninh everu village, town and city lights a huge bonfireto remember the day in 1605 when Guy Fanwes and his men tried to blow the British Houses of Parlament. generally start weeks before the event. (CHILD) gather wood and make their own Guy Fawkes dolls. The bonfires are lit in the afternoon and Guy Fawke dolls are thrown into the flames. Everyone sings the rhyme: "Remember, remember, the first of November." Bonfire night is (EXCITE) for everyone. The roaring fire, the loud bsngs and the sparking lights of the firework create the atmosphere which is (FORGET).
